Cruise control again!

Took the car into Evans Halshaw in Portsmouth again today, cruise control switching itself off again and the indicators are canceling early. So i explained the problem and that it had being doing it literally as I drove there. They had the car or and hr while i waited, they test drove it 3 miles! and then did a fault code test on it. The fault didn't occur on the drive but showed on the reader. But as it was ony 2 faults they cleared it and booked it in, in 2 weeks to see if more codes show in that time. Ok fair enough.

Got keys back drove off forecourt stuck cruise on up the dual carriage way cancelled twice!! turned around went back indicated into garage they cancelled!! "Well your booked in sir so we shall check the codes then!!". Thanks for your help!! not!! Just hope it shows on the reader when I go in!!

Sounds like may be the clutch pedal spring and the CIM which controls the indicators etc . My cruise cancels sometimes too and the indicators do the same as yours occasionally - guess i've learnt to live with it !

Yeh I thought it might be the clutch spring but I followed advise from here and tried it whilst holding clutch up and it didn't make any difference, they did also say it may be a SIM unit fault so we'll see in a few weeks!!
