2005 1.8life ecotec cambelt

does anyone know how often the cambelt should be changed its got 34k on it now thanks

it's a 'thorny' issue, but VX recommend 80,000 miles..BUT when they last recommended that interval they suffered a rather large amount of failures..so VX dropped it back to 40,000 miles...and i'd still reccommend that interval despite what the service book states..
