    Default Car is broke again....

    This time it has ripped the g/box to shreds, diff cover is cracked/buckled and oil is everywhere, wont get in gear and whines like hell when you push it.


    New Gearbox time again?

    see this guy knows where im coming from i have had 3 or 4 new diffs cant remember and 1 complete gear box i know how your feeling mate i really do but i toke mine to dealers last time complete gear box cost a bomb but its perfect now

    this is my 2nd box, 2nd clutch and 2nd flywheel. Im thinking of getting rid atm, i know its under warrenty but whats it gonna be like in may next year when it runs out

    Sorry to hear that mate This type of thread make me think twice on my love for the Vecs
    Any ideas why this happened? Justa a bad designed gearbox?

    i would get it fixed get rid mate it sounds like a problem child to me im just waitin for mine to do it again then fix it then bye bye to it but atm she is fine touch wood but if you feel that way then id get a diesel less tork

    i have been told by vectra stealers that they upgraded the vectras but put a astra 1.6 gear box in them so too much tork from engine its also because they are driven through a diff straight onto drive shafts

    Try using the clutch when you change gear, just a thought but it might help.

    Seriously guys you don't seem to be having much luck, personally I would get rid of them.

    personally not prying here but if its on finance tell them you want to swap it my boss did that with his vxr astra but its your perogotive
