I would say let it run for the remaining 6 months because it will cost you if you cancel now.

Your just a number to them they are not bothered if you have your house / life with them they still get payed even if you cancel.

Budget would not give me any money back on my remaining policy, it depends who you are with, it will be written somewhere on your policy how much they will give you ..

Why have they added the cost to your policy ?

its not a performance mod is it, its just springs, so tell em to get stuffed, I had a load of probs with my house insurance through direct line, ive got my Signum insured with Privlege now, bluddy brill, dead cheap, and they dont care about mods

I've got two cars with Direct Line plus home insurance. I've got a Rover 800 turbo coupe with them and thought I'd suss out how much extra for the induction kit that's fitted to it - £37.00 extra please (for 10 months) was their reply. Hence the reason I haven't put the same on my 3.2

A couple of years ago I went from Direct Line to priviledge (who are underwritten by direct line!!!) and saved a couple oh hundred quid. The next year they wanted to absolutely screw me so moved on again.

I now work on no loyalty towards insurance-just look after number 1!!

Cancelling normally works on 10% for every month ie 4 months = 40% of policy, 10 months 100% and after that bad luck! Stay with em till the end then change!!
