Dunlop SP Sport Tyres - Feedback

Is anybody using or have used the Dunlop SP Sport range of tyres. I like the look of the SP 01 but I was wondering if anybody has had any practical experience with them out there.

I used to use them on my Mini 10 inch rims. Do'nt suppose that helps?

I had SP9000's on my old Mk4 Ibiza diesel. Didn't like them. Pants in the wet and only lasted 10,000 miles on the front. V good in the dry though. Replaced them Toyo Proxies TS-1's.

By comparison a far better tyre was my experience on that car. Not sure what they are like on Vec though. Will probably get Toyo's again but I dare say it will depend on the price at the time.

Having said that though they SP's maybe a different beast on the Vec.

our Vectra is currently running 3 dunlop sp sport maxx tyres, with 1 bridgestone turanza, 4 bridgestones being the originals on the car, cant say I've noticed a difference with the dunlops to the bridgestones, which is a good thing as the bridgestones were excellent tyres.

also had dunlop sp sport 200's on my old chrysler neon, good for about 35K miles, good tyres in the time I had that car too.

I used to have SP 01 on my previous Vectra B. And I can recommend them. It’s good, silent tire, very good on dry.
