sri bumper fit

just been reading andy's guide to fit the bumper, cheers for that m8, mines on its way and im gona try and fit it myself..

just a couple of questions:

can the standard bumper be removed and the sri 1 fitted right in its place no messing around?

does anyone know or have you tried to put the standard fogs and fog surrounds into the sri bumper? do they fit?

on the bumper ive bought it has a big gap in the middle where there should be a louvre (i think thats what its called) any ideas to make this look ok?

your help will be most appreciated..

i think the standard fogs wont fit, they are a similar shape when you look closely but just a little too different in the middle. Ive looked at fitting Sri fogs to my non sri bumper and it doesnt look feasible without some messing.

The bumper shoud just fit straight onto your car though.

The middle bit does in fact have a louvre and the best bet would be to buy one from vuaxhall or find a scrappy with a smashed in front end on an sri with the louvre intact

The SRi fogs will fit the standard bumper as far as bolting straight in, all bolt holes etc are in the same place. The problem comes with the surrounds in that these are a completely different shape. Tried fitting SRi fogs /Signum surrounds to my standard bumper and as I say the fogs bolt straight in but the surrounds are nowhere near fitting.

thanks, looks like the bumpers goin to be lying around in the house till i can sort this out.

anyone had a price for the bumper parts from vx?

hi buddy im in the same dilema the inserts for the sri fogs are 5.30 ant the actual fogs themselves are 51.50 for the rh fog and 49.35 for the left hand dont know why they are different the total is 130.95

Yep, they're only about £9 from Vx, and easy to get.

i ended up getting the parts off andyvec for a very reasonable price, and he chucked in all the fixings for the fogs.
its all painted and should be getting fitted this weekend!
