COULD SOME ONE CLEAR A QUESTION THAT I NEED ANSWERING,SORRY GUYS BUT YES IT TO DO WITH CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS AND WHEN THET SHOULD BE TAKEN DOWN,A FELLA I WORK WITH SAYS ITS BAD LUCK TO TAKE THEM DOWN BEFORE THE 12TH DAY BUT I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT ITS NOT BAD LUCK TO TAKE THEM DOWN BEFORE THE 12TH DAY BUT IF YOU LEAVE THEM UP AFTER THE 12TH DAY THEN YOU HAD BETTER BRACE YOURSELF FOR THE MOTHER OF ALL BAD LUCK.

LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR COMMENTS AS I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE A WELL EDUCATED BUNCH.

Well according to the Twelve Days of Christmas, the twelfth day (i.e. Twelfth Night) is the night of 5th Jan/morning of 6th Jan. The saying goes that as long as you take them down before dawn of the 6th then you're okay. If you forget then supposedly if you then keep them up all through the year through to the following Christmas then you won't have the bad luck! - but your neighbours will just think you're and have lost the plot!!

As for whether it's bad luck taking them down before the Twelfth Night, I've no idea!

All the above of course depends if you're superstitious - which I'm not.
