Default Fram Pollen Filter replacement which way round ??

I have just bought a replacement pollen filter for my Vectra-c , The new one a Fram (CF9495) has no arrows on it to show the airflow , It ays on the box detailed instructions enclosed !! They must be very small & written on the back of a particle of pollen !! As the box is empty of such things

So which way around should i fit it. It is slightly recessed one side with foam sealing edges on the widest parts, Similar to the one here but without the black removal clip.
I have currently fitted it by having the foam strips sealing the outside edge, So the airflow will be hitting the foam edged side of the filter 1st then travelling 1st class inside the vehicle making note of all emergency exits (Sorry) .

Is this correct ?? I have looked on the Fram site but no destructions on there either !!
    Cheers

Just nipped out to look at mine Being a Vx one it hasn't got the rubber seal (I couldn't recall).

I'd have thought the rubber bit would go closest to the cabin, but looking at the pic is that black bit a little 'handle' to pull the filter out? If so, then it looks like the seal nearest the front of the car is the way.

There's definitely no arrows around the edge of the filter to show airflow direction?

No, Not a solitary mark anywhere !! It was a Gm one that i removed. I looked at it the same way as you, Having the sealing strips to the outside (As such) Re. the position of the removal clip. The foam seals are only on the Edge not the face, Anyhow i have a 50/50 chance

    Thanks for looking

    Cheers
