    Default Fascia Confusion

    Help, I'm stuck!

My 2004/54 Vectra CDTi has the CDR-2006 stereo in it with the gunmetal type of dash surround (dark silver sort of colour). I'm trying to find a single DIN fascia for it so I can put my Sony MP3 player in, but all the gunmetal ones listed on Ebay are for cars 2005 onwards. Up to 2005 shows silver and black ones only?

Without taking the whole thing apart, can anyone tell me what ISO lead and gunmetal colour fascia I actually need for this? Is the stereo connected with the older ISO or Quadlock type of connector? My steering wheel has the three round buttons which I understand is the older type?

swap the yellow & red lead though)

old steering buttons = cheap converter lead on ebay.

and finally, i haven't a clue on the facia.
    try halfrauds.

    Hi,

I have a 2004 (54-plate) fitted with a CDR2005. I spoke to AutoLeads’ Techincal Department last week. They told me I need the FP-19-00-GN Facia to fit my Sony single-DIN headunit. I assume it will be the same for your CDR 2006.

I mentioned that my stereo and dash are ‘Charcoal Metallic’ but they said they call it Gunmetal – apparently Vauxhall use the same colour across their range of cars (Corsa, Astra, etc.) and give the colour a different name in each model.

I have not ordered one yet so can’t guarantee it fits.

    Hope this helps.

Guys, it's virtually the same price - if not cheaper - to get the bits from Vx. They do a fascia / wiring loom kit for around £25. Guaranteed to fit

Cheers for the info - I did try Vauxhall abd they told me £39.99 for the fascia and adaptor lead - but no removal tools. The full kits can be found for around £15 on ebay so its tempting!

Just realised I had a typo - mine is the CDR-2005 model! (drunk fingers!)

I've ordered the black one with the iso lead and removal tools for £13.49 including delivery - which leaves a few quid for a tin of paint!

Anyone know the best match for colour - might try a bit of decorating.

Cheers for the help on this - much appreciated. Liking this Vectra ownership already!
