    Default FM Modulator

Has anyone fitted a fm modulator to there motor. I have a cdr 2005 and want to plug a mp3 player into the standard system. The reason I ask is that there is not much room behind the sterio and am wondering if the plug and ariel will fit?

ther is some available that dont require pluging into the back of the radio, they simply plugin to your mp3player and transmit to a set fequency on the radio... so no worries about space.

I had one before, sound quality wasnt brilliant, but then it was only £4 off ebay ... suppose you get what you pay for.

Plugin ones are better. The broadcasting ones are, well, variable, depending on the car and the modulator.
I'm about to fit one to my car, for the iPod, so I'll see how that goes.

I find, you get normal radio quality ( or reasonable tape quaility ) with these things.. def not up to cd spec.

Yep, I tried both types in my Vec B, and as the lads say, sound quality is not good.
I wouldn't use them again, sold them on eBay, lol.

if it's only a stop gap, then to save all the messing behind the headunit just go for a wireless... the sound quality isn't great on either. but at least with a wireless one people in the next car can listen to your tunes too lol

If your car has the phone loom fitted (and even if it doesn't it can be done) you could use that and the tel mute grounded to get the sound through to the stereo, as the 2005 has audio inputs for this.
