Replacing Brake Discs - new caliper carrier bolts?

I am just about to change the front and rear discs on my recently purchased 1.8LS and wondered if it is worth replacing the caliper carrier bolts rather than refit the old ones. I have had conflicting messages about this in the past for a Volvo (Haynes manual said yes, main dealer said they didn't bother).


Am I correct in thinking that the torque setting is 180Nm?

Attach brake calliper retaining frame (1) to steering knuckle
• Clean thread in retaining frame

• Coat 2x new bolt with locking compound

• Tighten 2x new bolts 230 Nm

Many thanks for the quick reply, I need to purchase a more powerful torque wrench!

No real need to replace them. Just clean the originals of the old locking compound with a wire brush and apply new compound.
