Default Does an all inclusive service charge include the Timing Belt ?

I have been quoted £190 all inclusive service charge for my 54 plate 1.9 Cdti 150, The car is now at 85k, Which according the the Service book should include having the toothed belt & tensioning roller replaced (10 Years or 80k)

Do you think this will be include in that charge ??, The service manager said , Oils, Filters Etc where but i never thought to ask about the timing belt..

I know i should be asking the dealer but i have since called back to ask & it is forever enagaged !!!

Just wondering how other people have got on with this & if the belt is a separete charge even though it is listed in the service interval ??

    Cheers

I would not think that it includes this belt job. The belt change its self would be in the region of £170-190. Wish it was though.

    pull them into it

ask them is it everything thats in the book for 80k

if they say yes you have got them but make shore you are holding the book when you pick the car up

if they tell you it's not been done that not in the price you open the service book and point out that they priced for the 80k and should include having the toothed belt & tensioning roller replaced and stand your ground

as long as you have your book in your had you will win
iv seen it done in my dealers
the dealer told the customer he couldnt take his car without paying for the work and the customer phoned the police

i like what happen when the police told vauxhall they had to give him the car back """ they did the belt for him ""

Finally got through, & ..... Not included , They also say it is not due until 100k or 10 Years, Where as the Owners service booklet says 80k or 10 yrs !!! He said i don't have that figure listed anywhere !! Typical..

£220 + Vat for the belt change.

This is one service item I specifically ask back for
I can also then inspect the belt for signs of wear and damage

If the service book you have lists the cambelt as 80K miles, then show them it when booking the car in or when dropping the car and key

Personally, if a dealership quotes £200 for the 80K mile service, and the cambelt is due at that interval, then that is included
I caught a Citroen dealer out with that one before, and they had to rebook the car in and do it the next day for FREE
