    Angry Grrrrrrrrr!

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Saturday evening is one I want to forget. Exiting a roundabout in Aberdeen and a gent decided he didn't want to be in his lane and decided the grass was greener in mine.

Pulled across into my lane, I hit the anchors and turned into the central reservation but wasn't quick enough and he hit the passenger front wing. Has put a small dent in the passenger wing and left marks on it plus the bumper.

What made things worse was when swapping details etc in the panic I left the keys in the passenger footwell got out and closed the door and for some reason the car locked and alarmed itself.

My 21 month lad thought it was great cause he realised if he moved around the car would make a noise. I was less then impressed cause it was pi**ing it down with rain.

Those form around Aberdeen can probably guess the roundabout

So, I hate insurance companies (apologies to those who work for them it is not personal) and am now faced with fixing the damage. The guy who hit me is in the "trade" and has offered to fix it. He was talking about spraying it just around the arch but I am not sure. I think it needs a new panel. What do you recon?

I have spoken to a local autobody company and they are sending me a quote, but just wanted a few other opinions before I progress. Can a front wing be repaired adequately? Do I need to get the wheels/steering checked out?

    Now going to cry, again

    Andy

i would do it through insurance mate. keeps you right especially if the other guy caused it. kids sre funny like that, i was out with my mates 2 wee ones after dropping him off and hit a patch of oil and one or 2 donuts and some brown trousers later i stopped thankfully having hit nothing to cheers of ' again uncle graeme again' from the back lol.

hope you get the damage fixed mate.

Not yet but he says "Weeeee - again" when we get airborne over a double hump downhill bit on a back road.

Go through the insurance. That way you're protected if the other guy starts getting difficult.
