What parts are needed to upgrade the rear wiper from the old style to the current one that is extendable?
Better still, can it be done??

If you mean can the old style chunky wiper be changes to a flat blade style then yep it certainly can be done. However, it will need a new arm & possibly also the base assembly. As for the part no..............Someone else will have that for you, I hope, & be able to tell you the exact parts required
you just need the new arm and blade
Rear flatblade wiper arm - 13143420
Rear flatblade wiper blade - 13143421
changed mine last week cost me about £13.00 trade club,, the old arm is a right sod to remove from the spindle .. i ended up using a small cutting disc on the dremel to break the joint..
mine just popped off with some gentle persuasion, took, 10 mins make sure you fit it central so that you get a full sweep, and not a lop sided one!
Just tell them you want the flatblades and what year your car and model is. This info isn't really needed but it is what i asked when a bought wipers but i stuck to the chunky type!!!

TAM, I did exactly that last week.
Part numbers above are correct. Got mine from the Vauxhall dealer in Falkirk and with no club discount of any kind they cost £22 all in.
They did not have the wiper arm in stock, just the blade so had to wait till the next day for them to order one in.
Fitting takes about 5 minutes and yes, they not only look much neater, they clean the rear screen very well compared to my old style one.
Well worth doing IMO.
Could someone post before and after pics of this mod please to see what the difference is?
Cheers.
How easy is this to do? I'm absolutely hopless but i'll give it a go. May even post a how2 if i get it right......
