Default CDTI 150 . Timing Belt Or Chain ??

    Hi.

I have been given conflicting information regarding the above.

Is my 54 plate 1.9 Cdti 150 on a belt or chain ??
The car has now covered 83k & i cannot see any report that the belt was changed !!?? Assuming it is a belt of course !

    Cheers

    Dean

I too would recomend you get the belt changed as soon as you can, it is cheaper than a damaged cylinder head.
It is a good idea to change the water pump and the belt followers and tensioner,s at the same time too.

Hi, sorry to hijack the thread but could anyone give a ballpark figure for getting cambelt, followers and tensioners etc done NOT at main dealer....?

Just so when I go to the local garage and they throw a figure at me I'll know whether they are taking the p**s or not.......lol

    Many thanks.
