does this matter. tyres on alloys are 215/35/19 instead of original 225/35/19 that the alloys came with? am i going to have problems later?

Standard 19" tyres are 235 35 19's for Vectra, on a Vectra C, I would not even consider 215 35's, they will look very small and it is not advisable to have a 215 tyre on an 8" wide rim.

My veccy SRi Nav XP has 235/35/19's fitted not 225/35/19? theres 20mm tread difference between the original size and the 215/35/19's and the side wall will be smaller by a few Milimeters aswell.

I used to use this website when me and my brother were doing off road comps, its got a handy tyre size comparison on it..
    http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html

    235/35/19" 215/35/19"
    Sidewall: 82.3mm 75mm
    Radius: 323.5mm 316.5mm
    diameter: 647.1mm 633.1mm
    Circumf: 2032.9mm 1988.9mm
    Revs/Kph 492 503

215/35/19's will make the speedo out (showing faster) by 2.2%

Its not a lot to worry about really...

    Hope this helps

As Matt (Maverick) says though the 215's are 20mm / 1inch smaller and will look small..

The worst problem with a stretched tyre is the tyre is 'pulled' away from the rim leaving the rim vulnerable to kerbing damage,
