    Default Flat battery, I think

I left my sidelights on overnight These modern cars are so sensitive to idiots.
Central locking works, lighting works etc, but engine wont start. I get two clicking noises and that's it.
Just looking for some advice really - I'm thinking of removing the battery and charging it up with my charger - is there anything I need to be careful of when doing this? Disconnecting / reconnecting etc..

You don,t need to remove the battery, unless it is more convetient. But if you do charge it on the car REMOVE the live + connection from the battery, or you have a good chance of "knackering" the alternator.. Obveiously if you remove the battery you will need to remove both positve [live] and earth terminals, and the securing strap. Just be sure you put the charger connections on the correct way round and same with the battery when you put it back on the car, you will need to out the radio code back in and reprogram the windows too.

    Thanks
Decided to take the battery out to charge indoors - bit awkward but seems to be charging up ok.
Can't find my radio code which is a bit of a nuisance though, will have to pay the dealers to fix that

Yeap! If you loose your code you`ll be at the stealers with your wallet at hand.
    Hope you find it

Depends on how old your car is (and what stereo is fitted) as to whether you'll need the security code or not.

Something like a CCR2006 you will need the code, but a CD70 you won't.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it something to do with whether the car is half canbus (needs a code) or full canbus (doesn't need a code)?
