Hello all from new vec driver + THANKS!!

Hello to everyone from new registered veccy owner.

Firstly I would like to congratulate you all on a fab site and it has been great dropping in for all the free info and advice ower the past few weeks which assisteed me in my desicion to get into a vec and the model etc.

I chopped my 04 ASTRA Design in for a 2007 Vec Elite Diesel Auto (sorry to those against auto - have a back and left leg problem thats been haunting me for 2 years now) I can say however that the auto was a second choice - had a design diesel for a wee while and although I was generally happy with it - I had indicated to the dealer I was considering an Auto (he had none in stock at the time). One week later I had a phone call from the dealer telling me 2 autos had come in, one was the SRI and the other was Elite. I thought the SRI was for me as I recently test drove a manual. The auto had no extras (the manual had Sat nav and SRI extra pack - 19 alloys etc) Got my paws on the Elite and fell for it. Suspention a bit different to the SRI but had to face facts that my boy racer days were over. A huge thanks and credit to you all. Unfortunetly the dealer here in ANDOVER is, in my opinion the WORST

in the UK. I am from Lanark in Scotland originally and have to report the dealer in Andover is REALLY bad compaired to me home town.

This did not put me off the car as I have had astras old vec b and cavs over the years.

Love my elite - Anyone with a bad back should definetly try the auto, and YES - the heated seats help ease the pain!

Very surpised by this, who did you speak to? if it was anyone other than Steve al kazeeri then im not really surprised! the guy that was sorting out the finance before I decided to get a loan was a pen!s, But Steve is the best bloke in there which is why he earns the most commission!

Hi the nail on the head! Steve is the best bloke in that dealer. The sale on my first car went smoothe!!!! The problem was getting the car prepaired and the service dpt. Steve is actually a friend of mine now as I have bought 4 cars from him in as many years and we are going for a drink in the new year!!!!! The car was litilarly butchersed by the d!cks in the service dpt long story - no time to go into all the issues but basically they really meesed me about with poor workmanship. I really fliped my lid in the dealer as the first car had 3 major faults and had been back 6 times b 4 changing to the auto. The finance bloke (Spencer is his first name) is the biggest c0ck I have ever met and tried to rip me off! I almosts hammed the pr1ck for his **** attitude and c0cky little growls and aggrssion. Spoke to Mark Fokes - the Sales Manager about this and he has has MANY complaints about Spencer finance c0ck and serive dept in general.

Even got so wound up i really fliped and told them the deal was off and stomped out the garage. A valet bloke smashing me wing and bumper into a wall was the last straw. Thankfully STEVE was great. Even got steve a bottle of wine for his trouble and he looked after me. Loius Preston in the MD and owner who I met and had a meeting with over all the problems who did compensate me.

Hope this clarifies a few things.

Thank God you were looked after by Steve, is only four people in the Andover Approach that are decent, Steve, Mark Fokes, Grant Smith and an older guy think his name is Ken!? cant remember... Grant does all my work on my car and is the only person that does! whenever it goes in they get him on it asap as they know I will kick off if anything is wrong. Grant is a personal mate of mine aswell. I would only buy a car from Steve as I know I'll get good service and a good price

Hi again mate.

I have not met Grant but Mark Lynce (service manager) and someone called Rob (serive supervisor) are now the only people who touch my car. We now have a chat/meeting pre and post any work being carried out. Mark even now escorts me to my car and goes over everything and confirms in writing. Shame the rest of the dealer facilities are ****.
