    Default how do i take gear knob off?

    anyone have any ideas how to take the old gear knob off just got a new richbrook one and want to put it on.

    There's a section in the How2 section for doing this. I found it easier and quicker to chap it off using a chisel and hammer. Watch what you're doing though!

    I was making a spirited run off the lights yesterday, next to a Mondeo and my knob came off in my hand as I shifted to 2nd!

    A gentle tap from underneath should do it.

    It might be a bit difficult for you guys at this time of year, but I find that mine always comes off in hot weather.
