    confused Celtic Tuning?

Hi, just bought my Siggy, 1.9cdti 150, and was wondering if you guys had heard of Celtic Tuning as I had sort of decided to use them to re map my motor. That is once i have had a new swirl valve and manifold fitted

i emailed them about a remap before i ordered the IPF and then the BSR PPC, they emailed me back fairly quickly, they promised an average of 210bhp for £399 done at my address, was thinking about it until i read on here that 210bhp isnt likely with just a remap @ £399..

definately a bit on the optimistic side mate 210 bhp from a re map is highly unlikely, youd be lucky to crack 190 imo

I would say 210 is nearly impossible with a remap alone. Any more than 1800bar in the common rail and the ECU throws a fit. I'm running about 2300bar with the remap and tuning box to get 225bhp, so I don't think you'll be seeing 210 for any remap alone. Torque wise though you might get over 300lbft with a remap alone, don't expect it to put it all on the road though I'm still plugging Red Dot but they have only had one other 1.9CDTI other than mine

If you're in Portsmouth why not give Regal in Southampton a call? They're a bit more expensive but you've got the backup of a large, well known company with IMO very good aftersales service.
