First make sure the lead to your TV is plugged in securely - if it's loose you'll get the red ring.
checked, unplugged and re plugged, still getting the red rings.
got it sorted. rang game and they gave me this number to get it sorted/repaired.
0800 5871 102
if it's under a year old they will just swap it for a new one
if over a year old but under 3 which i think it will be as i am not sure when they came out microsoft will repair it for you
Yep you will be without for a couple of days, but then you'll get a shiny new one, complete with cooler quieter motherboard and HDMI
i saw alot of bad press about this problem a while back, if it's what i'm thinking of it's known as the 'Ring of Death'
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_36...nical_problems
My original 360 which i bought on release day back in Dec 2005 suffered from the ring of death 2 times, Both times i went out and bought a new core to tide me over for the 7 to 20 days i was told it would be by microsoft and both times i had it collected repaired and back within a week...
My new 360 elite has the new Motherboards etc so hopefully its gonna be ok, if not then i'l get another core to tide me over while its repaired..
the good thing about the bad press regarding this is its now been dealt with... But just imagine having a PS3....!! (i have one aswell) the lack of support from Sony will take a fair ol while to sort out..
Hopefully your ring of death issue will be sorted and you'll be back to gaming soon...
