New Car Ordered

Hi Guys I'm new to the site so hello to you all

. I've just ordered an Exclusive NAV in black expected FEB '08 with the following extras : -

VXR Styling pack
17" Alloys
Colour Screen upgrade

I initially wanted the plus pack which included front fogs, DAB radio alloys etc, I was then told I couldn't have the plus pack because it was a NAV model and already had a CD70 head unit which was fair enough I suppose, I then opted for the extras above but I'm a little disappointed because it looks like my car won't have front fogs, can anyone confirm wether the VXR styling pack contains front fogs if not is it easy to fit a set?. My next question relates to the trip computer or lack of one it would seem, because I have the colour NAV model I thought that would be standard but I can't find any info in the broacher and my dealer doesn't seem to have a straight answer could anyone shed any light on this?

You will have board computer for sure, there's a dedicated button on the CD70.

Front fogs, no. Styling pack is front lower spoiler, side sills, rear boot spoiler. You can retrofit fogs, though you need a half sharp dealer to do the programming!

Sounds good. As above fogs can be retrofitted.....I'd be tempted to go back to your dealer and arrange to have it done before you get it.
Might be able to beat them down on the supply/fit cost as well!

Yep i would try and get them to change the build. as it's factory order they can alter the spec to include what you like. If you can stretch to it i'd advise you go for AFL as well, the standard headlights are pretty poor. in fact i'd swap the VXR pack for AFL, as you can always fit the VXR stuff later, retrofitting AFL is not quite so easy!

Firstly welcome aboard fella ........Sounds like you have ordered a crackin car as far as the fog lights go you can retro fit them but it will involve a trip to the dealers to enable them on TECH 2 you could ask ANDYVEC as he has just helped Shan to do this very mod on his Signum !!!

Sounds like it's gonna be a stunner.

Typical VX though that the foglamps are part of a radio upgrade

Don't know about the MY08 exclusiv but my 06 model does not appear to have the fog lamp loom. (Andy and I have looked several times)

As above I'd get back to the dealer now to see if they can get a version with fogs fitted from the factory or if the dealer can fit them. In 2006 it was a £100 option.
