if others fit then just make sure your using the correct bolts to hold the wall mount up plus make sure your tv is included in your home contents insurance just in case it crashes to the ground.

    No More Nails?

Our TV is a 37" Samsung. Paid around £150 for the bracket which was probably well over the odds but I went for the over engineering approach which included ditching the supplied weedy bolts and buying the biggest ******s B and Q had in stock.

The bracket is universal though so if we change brands it can stay in situ.

Cut the box up to use as a template Steve to make sure it looks right and if you haven't already got one you are more than welcome to borrow my laser leveller.

This makes it a piece of **** to fit accurately.

edit: Just looked at the one in Mark's link. Ours is similar to that one but with thicker rails and supports so I'd say ours is a bit OTT.

edit 2: BTW did you know that Maplins have opened a store on Cheshire Oaks? Brilliant for longer cables such as Scarts, Component leads etc. It's next to Borders.

i helped my brother fit his 50" sony to the wall using a bracket from ebay, i think it cost him about 60 quid as the bracket itself was the type that swings out...and even with it fully extended (2 foot off the wall) it still held strong.

needless to say, alot depends on the base material that you're fixing into...this was into brickwork.
