Cd70 & Ncdc2013

On my 2002 GSi I've got the 2013 but I see most of you guys refer to the CD70.

Are these basically one of the same and anything I should know (bad things) about the 2013?

No they are not the same; CD70 (Siemens-VDO) is a newer unit introduced late 2004/2005. The CD70 has a double tuner what is important if you want to use TMC (the TMC-channel is always present, even if you tune in on another station)
Doesn't mean the NCDC2013 (Siemens) is bad; it is only older and so problems become more common (laser faults).
You can still upgrade the maps with the newest versions. You cannot play MP3-discs but you have a cd-changer...
