    Default ECU Reset ????

    Merry Christmas Everyone

As you maybe aware my alternator has died and isn't getting fixed till Thursday.

Currently my battery is very low, so low in fact the central locking is not working and the alarm isn't either.

How much battery power is required for the ECU, is there any danger of it resetting and most importantly is there any chance of my 888 remap being wiped.

    Cheers all

Theres no fear about it losing the 888 map, thats there for good. only thing which may happen is you'll lose your volatile memories, ie radio stations, one touch windows. The ECU may have to relearn your driving style too but that aint no hardship. Hope that helps

That's spot on mate, thanks for that. I expected all the other issues as you say.

As long as my remap is safe

After a reset the car can feel much more fun after it learns all the new habits of your driving.
