    Default Veccy is going....

Well, have decided to change the motor, a few things I'm fed up with on the
Veccy, the constant `BONK' from the front even after the mods that dealer done,
The LOOOONNNGGGG time to heat up, I'm at work (7 miles) before the needle
moves, and when the DPF decides to do a clean it uses a quarter of a tank
    of diesel??..

I have a set of HID's still in the box that I'll put up if anyone is interested.

So wot am I getting??, well it's German... Fast.... and got lots of toys..
A BMW 330i Auto, Nav/TV, Climate (miss that), Xenons, and 272bph
I'll still be looking on here, this is a great community..

The difference is in the money you pay for a Vectra vs an upmarket car I suppose. Lucky you, but good luck with your new motor m8.

Hmmm nice car! I don't have a dpf - thank god! - but diesels do take a lot longer to heat up when compared to petrols, all due to the heavy cast iron design that keeps the compression where it should be.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

VectraV6CDTi.. I might be wrong, but looking on the BMW site i'm sure I was
    looking at the right thing??.

Forgot to say it the M Sport..

I Went to Specialist Cars in Stevenage and they wasn't at all interested, they
didn't have anything sitting outside, so tough??, we went to Peterbourgh (as we
was passing), and they couldn't have been more helpful, I asked how much
harder ride the M Sport is and he gave me his keys and said `here you go,
take mine out'.. He also said ring this number and get 7 days FREE insurance
to sort your private plate out.

Yes sorry Pinman your right, a brand new 330i on the website is 272bhp:
    http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/pricesand...%3D%3D,00.html
I must of been looking at the spec for an old one. Not sure at what point the bhp was increased so you may or may not get the 272bhp, depends on how old it is.

Makes the 335i a ferking animal and STi beater at 305bhp

BTW anyone know the difference between an "M-Sport" model and the old "Sport" models? Are they the same sort of thing but they just decided to put the "M" in front?

    It's a 06 plate, so could be the 231 ..

The difference is the `M' and from what I can tell it just sounds better??.

Got a set of HID's for the Veccy, that have never been out of the box, the
add for them said that there is no probs with the `bulb out' warning, step-son
has a Beemer old shape E46, and he was looking at HID's, they are the H7, so
would they work on his without any probs with the computer, or should I just
put them on here for sale??..

Had the dealer in the phone today, he is doing a cherished plate transfer
    for me.

The DVLA want to inspect the cars , so got to take the car up to
Peterborough and let the dealer take them for the inspection??, wife phoned
DVLA and this is a `Random' check that they do??, they want to see the car
that the plate is coming off and the one it is going on..
