Default Xbox 360 + HD DVD drive

Just bought a 360 'bundle' and a HD drive today. Aint set it up yet but my question is; is the picture quality as good as that of the PS3. I was swaying towards the PS3 until I read peoples opinions on both on here and advice/opinions of friends etc, and the 360 was the console of choice for most i have to say

Do you mean quality of games or quality of movies?

Games, i believe the graphics processing power of the PS3 is superior, but i've not yet seen a title that beats the best games on the 360. Increases will come in time, and the PS3 will start to look better. but the Xbox 720 will be out by then.

Movies, you aren't going to see any difference between HD-DVD and Bluray unless you are using very high end consumer or a pro display. In practical terms the movie qualitty of both consoles is restricted by your TV.

The TV shouldn't be a problem, it's a 42" Plasma with all the bells and whistles lol, but yea it was movies i was thinking of more than gameplay.
