a mate of mine i havn't seen for a good while just nipped in to say hello and merry x-mas, he left his van running at the top of my drive (20yds away) he went into the kitchen to say hello to my mrs, as we crossed in the doorway his van shot offwith some young ****** beind the wheel, i gave chase on foot and then in my car but he soon dissapeared in the local tramp and scrote area, if i find him i will kill him......................................we called the police and he has taken him for a drive around the above mentioned area but no luck...........
the poor sod's house key's mobile and all his tool's were in his van

Very sorry to hear that mate but anyone leaving a car or van running never matter how close to the house it is, is asking for trouble. This happened to a close friend of mine and he even looked back and relised how dafted he had been. No insurance payout either when the keys have gone.

They are scumbags and will ruin his xmas but lets face reality here mate...

You should never leave ya car/van running when unattended, its a theft for the taking and some chancer has come up trumps.

Hope he gets it back in one piece but he needs to get those house locks changed.

Lowlife scumbags! That's all they can be classed as. How can someone do that regardless if the engine was running? It can only be worthless pond scum with no idea of what it is like to earn a wage and pay their way in life. Get down to the benefit office I'm sure you'll run into the culprit there!!!

Gutted for him mate and I don't think he should be patronised by people saying "well, you shouldn't have left your keys in and the engine running." That's the last thing he'll want to hear right now and I am SURE that lesson has been learned. Let's remember who the victim is here.

The sad part is that if he mentions how it was stolen on the claim form they will not pay out as the keys were in it.
He needs to tell his insurers it was locked and secure,.
