    Default very loud 1.9 cdti engine

    hi guys, my friend has a vectra c sri 1.9 cdti 150 i drove it yesterday & i noticed his thrush bearing was making noise when i push the clutch pedal slightly down & also his engine was very load when stationary, like a tractor lol. was wondering if u know why his engine could be loud. could his thrush bearing & loud engine be related. can any1 tell me pls, hope to hear from some1 soon merry christmas every1

    sounds more like our old 'freind' the knackered Dual mass flywheel......and the CDTi isn't the quietest diesel at idle either...

    thanx guys do u know roughly how much it will cost him & if he has to buy the thrush bearing kit separate or does it come all together meaning shall he buy the clutch aswell. thanx

    if he wants a flywheel, around £6-700 +V...he may as well change the clutch while he's there...another cool £200...

    Sorry m8, i don't normally correct people but please DON'T walk into a dealers and tell them you have a knackered "thrush" bearing.

    It's a "THRUST" bearing

    What exactly is the Dual Mass Flywheel Problem? And I will admit didn't know about it till warranty was up but my car has the worrying rattle at bite point in neutral - had it since i got it.

    Ok not feelin great now.
