I think it can as a mate adjusted the cable on my Corsa - meaning that it was secure with only 2 clicks!
I'd love that to happen on the Veccy!
I think on the Vectra it auto adjusts ? usually felt in the handbrake with a "clunk" when it does it.
it should auto adjust..
As Mark said there is no manual adjust on the handbrake on the vec C its all auto adjusting
Could this possibly be the cause then of so many handbrake failures?
In all the years i spent in the Vauxhall game, i never once remember a handbrake failing on Vaux's that had manual adjustments.
Snowman, you got your ears on?
most of the handbrake failures i've seen have been because folks never pushed the brake pedal with their foot, while pulling the handbrake on..they just pulled the lever up ( so giving less clamping force)..coming from tractors and landrovers ( where the brakes where shocking anyway) it's something that i just instictivly do...never had a manual or auto roll away on me, even on steep hills..
