eBay help!

Got 2 emails from eBay this morning.

One at 03:38 saying i had won this item.

Then at 04:00 another email arrived saying i had changed my password - but at that time i was sound asleep!!!!!

The IP address and IP host is on the email and i have emailed eBay about this, but i think i will remove all my bank details.

Edit: I'm changing it back but in order to change my password you need to know my mothers maiden name, postcode, phone number and DOB.

I've closed my ebay account and paypal account. Seems quite strange that a chinese necklace was bought.

By closing my paypal account that should stop payment of that thing going through. Anyway of finding out the location of the IP address?

Use a site like http://remote.12dt.com/lookup.php, then do a "whois" (same site ror something like http://www.whois.net/) which should at least give you the registration data, although chances are this will be an ISP registration.

Unlikely to give you a personal contact though as a good chance it will be a dynamic IP assignment for a session

It's in China - same place as the seller of that necklace thing.

Both my ebay and paypal accounts are closed so that should be the end of it
