Default HD Ready TV Buying Advice..

Looking round this morning trying to find a HD TV to go with my PS3..

Not knowing a great deal about TV's, what shoud i be looking for..

Just found this on the Dixon's website, and at £440 it seems a good price..

Can anyone give me any pointer's please...

Also, is it safe to buy one off Ebay, or would you only buy one from a reputable shop/outlet..

Or i have just found a Sony Bravia on Amazon for less than £500..

I've got the 37" version of this TV, and got it from dixons online too, the Samsung is an excellent TV, it looks stunning, picture quality is good, controls easy, sound quality is great and best of all its out of this world when connected to the PS3, really cant recommend it highly enough!! As for buying big items off ebay im not sure, depends on the seller, I buy a lot (too much) off ebay but still cant bring myself to trust them with hundreds of pounds worth of equipment, and you've huge postage charges on things like TV's. I had no problems with dixons, ordered and delivered to north scotland in a week, couldnt really fault them or the TV if I tried. Hope this was of some use

ps the bravia is also a grt TV!!

    Cheers Mate..

I really like the Samsung too, i know 3 people who have them bigger 42" Version's of them and they are sh*t hot.. I am the same when buying off ebay, I was fretting this weeek over a £50 item not arriving, so what would i be like over a £500 TV!

    Thanks for the advice mate.

Best advice I can give is get yourself down to Richer Sounds. Having had our 32" Samsung break after 15 months and still trying to convince their H.Q. that they should pay for the repair I would not buy another one without a five year Warranty.

Got our 37" Samsung with the Warranty thrown in for free from RS.

John Lewis TV's come with a five year warranty too but are sometimes more expensive and I know Panasonic were offering free warrantys too but only from ceratin retailers. (Comet, Currys etc were not included)

    No worries mate.

I spent forever researching out first LCD and spent a fortune on cables etc. Then as soon as you buy it it's out of date.

So now I just think balls to it. We've four Sammies now (including the one that broke and two smaller ones) and I'd still have another.

RS may not have the latest ones but they will generally give you the best value IMO
