Default Bit of advice needed please

Had my car into VX this morning about the knocking noises from the front of my car as mentioned in other threads.

Anyway they have agreed to replace the sleeves FOC when they get the go ahead from VX as its just out of warranty(shouldnt be a problem according to them as its a known fault) , they also said they have had problems with the drop links on other cars but they wouldnt replace these FOC as they cant see a problem with them but they will fit them for free if i pay for the parts at £16 each.

Is it worth getting these done ? my car has done 46k now.

    Thanks

Yes, get them done for £32, no labour is a £100+ bonus.

there's a well known problem with them.. the ball joints wear out very quickly, so at the sort of mileage that you're talking about it's WELL worth £32 to get them changed.. the reason it's labour free is that they're taking them 1/2 off anyway to do the sleeves, so while they're there let them do it..
