Annoyed ..angry GRRRR !!!!!

What about this one fellow cabbies,
Control ask me to go into London for a pick up [they phone me direct on the mobile],
Ok I will go says I,bearing in mind it is the busiest night of the year ! and
Essex is covered in thick freezing fog but of I trots,Ask the controller to phone the punter to tell them I will be there asap but fog could hold me up,I get to the pick up in the West end of 15 mins late,phone him up to see where he is..
What does he say...I have already got a cab as you where late ,
The controller has gone home by this time but I phone her up to make sure she phoned , yes she did,
So I lose 2.5 hrs ,plus 80 odd mile round trip all for Jack s---.
Words will be said in the morning, even now I am still angry about it..........

Had it happen to me yrs ago at Heathrow, sent to pickup some Canadian guy for IBM to be picked up at 3am, so I've worked since 6pm I've gone to get him while the clubs were still open and kicking out, the flight is delayed until 6am when I arrive, the flight lands and there's no sign of him, it's 11.30am before my barmey boss/mate allows me to call a no show and I get back to Pompey at around 2pm, I then need to sleep and miss that days shift, so to sum up, I never got paid for the no show, I was in the job for 20 hours that day, it cost me fuel for a 130 mile round trip, car parking and the next nights takings, all for a £25 job, well i say I didn't get paid, I did in a way cos I skimmed a tenner a night for the next two weeks off the split bag.
