Static Shocks

I've been getting quite a few static shocks today. When I've been driving the Vectra for a while, then park up, turn engine off and get out, just as I grab the door, to close it, SHOCK!

I don't know if it's the new jumper I bought today

or the metal irmscher pedals I put on this morning, or if it's just a random event thats struck today...

Was just curious if anyone else has had this before?

i get it regularly with both the vectra and the mondeo, i don't think it's anything to worry about

i get it all the time, normally in warmer weather tho no so much in winter

I used to get them on my old rover coupe.. don't get any on the vec though

strange lol, i hardly ever got any on my mk 3 astra , but seem to get it quite often with my veccy c

i use to get it all the time with the Omega and some real crackers too but very rare with the vec.

Worst one for this was my Escort 1.8si, used to damn near catapult me across the driveway.

The way to get around this is to hold the top of the door as you get out, or ask your significant other to get out first and have a ****** great laugh as he/she does the St Vitas dance instead

use to get a lot off my old escort.......i even put grounding strips down....but was still happening...on further investigation it was actually the specker wire through the rear hatch grommit was frayed and was shorting on the car .
