    Default Waxing in the Cold....

I cleaned the 1.9 CDTI SRI SAT NAV Car today and whilst I was out there in the cold... I thought I would give it a wax....

I've never ever waxed the car in the cold before... and it was soooo much easier....

Wax on..... wax off..... buffed up lovely !!... much better than in the sunny warm weather.

    Why is that ???

Maybe because it's cold the the wax is harder so wipes off easier. I am impressed though...thats dedication that is!

No hardship... it was a lovely day today... sweet in the cold air... reminded me of my mountain biking days blasting through the South Downs... ...lungs full of fresh air

I thought that it would not set properly in the cold, I have not tried so I can not really comment.

I've waxed in the cold - as in frosty cold! - and found it a bit harder, even with the wax having been warmed up beforehand. I think it was due to the warm wax cooling instantly as it touched the very cold car.

I waxed the other week when it was cold - not frosty cold, just very cold, and didn't find it such a problem. Wax went on fairly easily, and buffed off with a little bit of extra elbow grease. It definitely goes on better and buffs off more easily when it's warmer, but not hot. That's with Collinite 476s just for 'comparison'.

you probably timed it just right, had you left it later when you start getting condensation on the car you would've found it a complete ****.
