18000mls And Needing New Rear Pads Dunno If Thats Good Or Not Seems A Bit Soon To Me,,,,
Vectra's eat rear pads mate, Mine have been recently replaced after doing just 13000 miles, but i am quite hard on brakes...
The rears are not up to the job, so work overtime in normal operation, let alone when you're in a hurry...
Mine lasted about 75K on the rears. The fronts now need doing at 80K.
So, it seems there is a huge difference in usage
Did I Mention I Am A Taxi Driver And Use The Veccy For 12 Hrs A Day 5 Out Of 7, Service Next Week
I know a cabbie with a 1.9 CDTi 120 and he says he needs new tyres every 6 months!!
I replace my front tyres every 6 months too, and I only do 20k a year...
Alex had this problem I think. Are your fronts OME and the rears the VX cheaper ones by any chance?
Just remembered my Vec had both front and rear pads changed at 30k. Found invoices in the document folder
All my pads lasted until 47k, now close to 65K and the discs are looking a bit sad.
My factory set lasted until around the 40k IIRC, but the next set of rears only lasted about 14k. I did however buy the cheaper disc and pad set that Vx do, so that may have been a factor.
My advice don't go cheap on your pads.
