Remote fob dying?

Couldnt unlock the car from the fob yesterday so had to use the antiquated method of sticking the key into the door lock and turning it to get the door open. Alarm goes off so turn on the ignition to reset it. Need new batteries I think. Gets new ones today and fits them and tries them out and the remote is fine. Went to the car tonight and it didnt work. Had to manually unlock the door again.

Is there something else you have to do to the fob when you replace the battery to get it to work??

What else could be up with it?

I went to my local electrical shop,general stuff.Battery changed for the cost of the battery..£1.50!

Check the terminals on the battery are making contact..

also, had to tell, but relevant..the battery may be old stock and be almost dead through age before you had it fitted...

Check the car battery itself too (green spot) if this one is dying you will have this sort of issues
