xbox live question

Can someone please advise me - we have bought the son a wireless adaptor for xmas so he can play xbox live, do we also have to buy the annual subscription ?? been into 2 different currys stores 1 guy says yes have to buy it another guy says no just fit the adaptor and play, WTF.

no you will need a xbox live subscription card unless it has come in the pack with the wireless adaptor. You can get a card from Play.com, Amozon.co.uk or anywere thats sale gaming gear. hth

you will need to get the gold subscription so you can go on line you can get them from ebay for about £23 they will send you the number in 1 hour just type it in.

or you can have it as a monthly direct debit of £5.99, just set it up on the xbox once youve pluggd the wireless adaptor in

When you first connect the xbox you will be offered a months free subscription to xbox live gold as part of sign up process, do this before entering your code that way you will get a month extra plus you may find that your son doesn't need xbox live anyway as he doesn't play against other players.
