    Default What car to buy?

looking for a new car but not sure what to get! have been looking at a Nissan Silvia 2.0 turbo rwd, MG ZS 180 saloon, seat Ibiza curpa 1.8 T.

Obviously trying tp get rid of my car at same time. some dealers wanna do a straight swap for a car of lesser value than mine?! jog on...

one dealer is not interested cos my car is worth more than his!

any ideas on what other cars to look at that are under £4k and over 140 bhp.

been looking at BM's jap imports etc etc

I used to own a ZS180 and I roughly got 20mpg. The engine's are heavily restricted so one of the first mods to do replace standard air wilter with the Maxogen one £350 worth the money. Then look at a catback system and replacing the cat and manifold £1000+. Then you will have a very very quick car than handles superbly. I miss mine at times because I had all of the above and more done. But the Vectra's a more comfortable car with many many more toys. You don't get Traction control and the car really really needs it when modded. Also remember to change the cambelts you are looking at £500+.

nothin is wrong with it, but if something were to go wrong its not cheap to put it right! jus thinking of releasing some capital and buying something a lil bit more racey. would love to have your 3.2 v6!! and that's what I'm lookin at turbo's or v6 and quite possibly rear wheel drive for fun factor. my is too sensible if that makes sense? I'm scared to give it the beans.

Surely if you buy a 3.2/v6/turbo then if that goes wrong it would be more to put right than your present mota........

Cav turbo. Still a Vauxhall which is probably one of the easiest to put right if it goes wrong. I know the C20XE isn't the turbo but I found them to be nearly indestructable. Still a 4 door saloon so you got the comfort as well as heated leather (oh that I've just wet myself feeling on a cold winters night) I've just thought out loud again haven't I? Still well within your budget and easily tuned up to 300bhp.
