T/C on icy hill

I park the car outside my house, which happens to be on a hill, my neighbour has a pipe directing water down the hill from under his garage and its frozen everything solid, have about 2 inches of ice under and around the Veccy, managed to get out but when the wheels started to slip a red light came on the dash, didnt manage to see what it was before it went out, would that be the traction control or dont I get that on the 2006 Sri? Think i may steal some salt from the little yellow bins outside Tesco!!!!

You should have TC but mine is an orange skiding car symbol. Then again, Mine is a pre-facelift

I've heared of it being reported as red before but mine too flashes orange. Deffo get some salt though, that's what you pay your taxes for and it's better than hitting another car or worse, a pedestrian.

Is orange warning and red system failure as per other things in the car?
