    Question Washer Bottle Size.

Is it just me or is the standard windscreen washer bottle on the Veccy tiny? Having to fill it up very regularly, especially because of the crappy roads I travel to work on. The "washer fluid low" warning is doing my t*ts in!! Looked at the manual and its only 2.9L while there is a 5.6L one on cars with headlight wipers.

Is it possble to do an upgrade to the bigger bottle or would you have to take half the engine out?

Might just be a bumper off job. Would be good to know though, I didn't realise there was a bigger bottle available.

Cheers! Is it an easy enough job to do once the bumper is off? Take it the bottle is just a different shape but just fits in around everything else there? Anyone got the part no handy?

I would think it's just an easy swap. You've actually got me thinking about doing the same as come winter I go through the screen wash much quicker too.

As for the job, I think it's just a case of disconnecting the pipes and wires and removing it from the bracket. One sec and I'll get the part number for the larger one.

Might need to check to see if there are 2 outlets for 2 pumps, if so it wont be hard to block one off. Deffo a great little mod for high milers out there.

I believe it's still just the one pump used even if you have the headlight washers and bigger bottle. I'll check though.

Hmmm, I thought it was taking a long time to get the washer bottle full. Now I know why!

2.9 litres is quite a large washer reservior
I only have to fill mine about once a month in the summer and once a week in the winter
Compare that to the really small 1.8 litre in the Mondeo Mk3
