Default Osram Night Breaker Bulbs anybody tried em ?

After my first prolonged night driving last night i have found the stock bulbs a bit poor

Has anybody used Osram Night Breaker Bulbs , they claim up to 90% more light

Currently £25.46 for a pair at Powerbulbs with 15% discount code

    Are they any good ?

    http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=112

Any can someone recomend the max wattage i can put into the main beams ?

I have put some of these in my motor, I can only say they are a little better, but do not seem to give what they call 90% more light, well that is my opinion, I would say they are better than the standard bulb. But I don,t think there is a "super bulb" out there. As for the wattage, the book say,s 55 watt, these 90% are still ok as they ares still 55watt. I would be carefull with these 80watt or 100watt as they might melt the wiring let alone the legal side of it, mind you I did have some 80/100 watt in a granada I had once they were like daylight.

AutoExpress did a bulb test last week - they rated the Osram below the Philips X-Treme.

I have the Philips in my dips, they really do make a difference - but then again I don't have projector type lamps.

I have the ONB in dipped and full beam and would say they are better on full beam, but I can't say for sure as I had put crappy bulbs in that I thought would be good so I can't say for sure if they are a big difference. All I know is don't use bulbs with a blue coating on them as thats what I did and they were dangerous at night, I couldn't see a ****** thing.
