    Default Can anyone help?

Ok sorry this question is not vec/sig related but the thing is that my sis got home today with her new car a bwm 316 compact r reg and the problem is that the heaters arent blowing hot air even when the engine is hot.She says that it blows hot air when above 40 and if she turns the heater down to cold the air does blow cold?I heard before that it could be related to a head gasket prob so i checked the water levels they are fine and there is no white residue on the oil cap.Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Yeah the car is warming up fine and the temp gauge is in the normal heat range?Never heard of a resistor in the heating going before i also checked the floor to make sure it wasnt wet just in case it was the matrix.

Nah, that'd be the fan not blowing at certain speeds. Thermostat or a blocked pipe to the matrix?

    Changing the stat can't hurt.

Also, do a full coolant change at the same time.
