Default Snow flakes on forum slowing me down

This isn't a rant type post, but I wondered if it's just my PC slowing down to an almost dead stop on the forum since the snowflakes appeared. Normally PC is quite fast, but if the snowflakes keep slowing my PC down then I'm just going to have to give the forum a rest until after xmas as I can't browse through the forum.

Yeah, Bah, Humbug, the bits of pixels that keep flying around must be dandruff from the moderators. Use Head and Shoulders.
Whats genner happen when the snow starts piling up at the bottom of the screen? Can we download a virtual snowplough?

I'm using a 2Ghz Sony Vaio over WiFi which normally runs a ton of Ebay windows, but since the dandruff appeared as cabbage says my mouse jerks around and trying to scoll down posts even using the cursor arrows takes a while so I have to close the window to get back to normal speed again.

its only single moving pixels mate, Its not like its using heavy shadows or taxing the shader unites. What gpu do you have, Is it on board? Also gsi3.2, your cpu and ram would not be a factor, It will be the gpu in your system which I am sure will be a ati chip as they are now owned by AMD.

    So in summery

very low gpu recourse usage, It wont even make your gpu run in 3d mode.
but you do experience problems so there must be something going down. I would recommend updating your gfx drivers.

It's javascript (snow.js) so all the calculations are done on your CPU, not the GPU. What browser are you using and are you seeing 100% CPU usage when on the forums?

I have a strange problem too. Since the snow flakes my PC won't display the "bubble" when I hover the cursor of the titles of posts.

My PC in work does it fine though !
