    Check your firewall/Internet safety here:

    http://www.grc.com/default.htm

go to shieldsup>click the proceed at the bottom, then check common ports and should tell you what ports are; OPEN, CLOSED or STEALTHED, STEALTHED is what you want, but CLOSED is good too, OPEN is bad, install a firewall immediately or activate your routers hardware firewall.

    Hope you's find this useful.

Also try the freeware that shuts down unnecessary services in XP.

    Gazza, thats a top site

Your system has achieved a perfect "TruStealth" rating. Not a single packet — solicited or otherwise — was received from your system as a result of our security probing tests. Your system ignored and refused to reply to repeated Pings (ICMP Echo Requests). From the standpoint of the passing probes of any hacker, this machine does not exist on the Internet. Some questionable personal security systems expose their users by attempting to "counter-probe the prober", thus revealing themselves. But your system wisely remained silent in every way. Very nice.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Cheers got it from a PC magazine called Micro Mart, if you're into PC's or resolving problems - its a great ma full of deals.

Its chilling what that site pulls up about your internet connection though?
