    Default Brake fluid type

I'm going to change the brake fluid when it goes in for its service. Is it DOT 4 that I need and how much??

get plenty over...it's cheaper than halfords in your local motor factors...around 2 litres is what you'll need for a total flush..

If it's going in for a 2nd or 4th service it will only cost a few quid for them to change it for you. Saves time and mess etc etc and if they **** it up you can go back LOL

aha interesting stuff ... I was about to post something similar myself ... I got the parts for my service today and the stuff I got is yellow and was told 500ml will be enough for a brake fluid change ... do I need to get more than this and is Yellow OK?

    Cheers

    Dave

    PMSL @ James....DOT4 is what you need.....sorry bud, i wasn't clear..

UKanalyst.. 1/2 a litre is about the system capacity.. but VERY close to it..allow for a bit of mixing etc and dillution into the older fluid and put plenty through...if it's my car i really do make sure as being an auto the brakes do get used quite hard will 220hp in the front....
