    Default Sick of 'carbon footprints'

Check this out....we could all live in caves, but they'd moan about the camp fire.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/m...er/7137504.stm

Or if you really want to protest, you could fleece the taxpayer and get an all expenses paid trip to Bali.

All you have to do is put your hand up a few times to 'vote' for some pre-prepared 'resolutions'.

Nice work if you can get it.....makes it worth perpetuating the myth.

You would think they have better things to do than work all these statistics out. There is not much to look forward in this country any more now they want to put a downer on Christmas.

    Carbon foot prints
    Carbon off-setting
It is all yet another commercial con!

Take carbon off-setting as an example
A small part of the price is set aside, let's say 50p from a trans-atlantic flight
That 50p is then paid to someone in a thrid world country so that they DO NOT use a carbon-based fuel!
So rather than use a diesel generator they are paid to sit on a bicycle and pump water

Personally, it should be the other way round, the 50p should be used to transfer power in the originating country to a sustainable source

Add to that, Christmas is a commercial con
Even other religions feel obliged to participate now!
I'm not religious and I have to suffer all this nonsense, from October
Thankfully M&S restored my faith in humanity with their Easter Eggs last week!

I think they should be doing more important things than thinking how much the traditional xmas roast contributes to CO2 emissions. What does this 51,000 tonnes do? - probably a drop in an ocean of global emissions.

Also, Project leader professor Adisa Azapagic, probably doesn't celebrate it anyway. I am making a huge assumption that he is not a Christian based only on his name, so could be very wrong.

While it appears that something's going on with our climate, nobody has managed to definitely link it with carbon emissions. And the climate change is over tens of years, when you need to take a hundred (at least) year view to look for any long term change.
It's just a convenient excuse to rip large amounts of money out of us in the the interests of some vague "green" ideal.. Let's face it, if we could save the trees that politicians use producing pointless forms and rules, and harness the hot air they produce we'd live in Utopia!

Scare the population to control them

Give them something to worry about, it'll keep them occupied

    Generate huge amount's of money

Excuse to set up companies to back up the bull

I think they should kill everyone over the age of 30, especially me and my Wolfie beret, that way the whole population accept's that Mr Lollypop giver at Westminster etc is telling the truth.
