    Default Poor MPG 2.0 DTI

    I dont know what has gone wromg but im only getting approx 34 mpg , no warning lights , no power loss , no more smokey than normal (exept when on hard exelleration)
    Any ideas

    can i check anything

    airfilter check and clean if it's a K+N...injector's spring to mind as smoke is overfuelling....or lack of enough air to allow a complete burn of the fuel..

    you won't test them yourself...but getting them tested is normally only a fiver a piece....

    i seem to be having the same problem with my 1.9cdti150, it was doin about 45-50 with a crd2 on which i took off for its service. they did something with the dpf and now im getting 33mpg. with the rise in the price of diesel this isnt good.

    all they should have done is make it regenerate more often....

    You're getting 34 because the weather has turned cold, longer warm up time, quicker cool down time etc, unless you are on the motorway a lot you shouldn't expect anymore than about 39 tops, and 47 if you are doing the 70mph thing most of the day.

    There's nowt wrong with the car, you probably aren't working out your fuel cost properly either, £1.10 a litre equates to £5.00 a gallon roughly.

    down to 32 now , ive put almost twice as much diesel in as to that of what i normally put in, something aint right

    Had new injectors fitted today , new air filter, new Airfow meter and a new intercooler hose, OMG what a diffrance, the car now sits up and moves off quite nicley , feels like a new car , Happy again
