Please Help !!!!

When my car is sat on the drive and I turn the radio on the signal for Radio 1 is perfect, not a crackle at all.

As soon as I put the ignition on the signal quality becomes very poor and the sound of crackling and radio hiss is very prominent. As soon as I switch off the ignition it becomes fine again.

I have disconnected all bluetooth and extra power items I have installed myself so it is as if it was new, and it still does it. My girlfriend's Astra doesn't do it at all.

This is the same whilst driving about, I get to an area near J15 on the M6 for example and the Radio hiss becomes very loud and the Radio tries to scan for a new signal and it cannot find one strong enough to lock onto. As soon as I pull over and switch the engine/ignition off the signal is fine again.

Any ideas, it is the factory fit unit. I want to sort it before I install my new headunit that I believe I am getting as a Xmas present. Bizarelly it only seems to be Radio 1. The local commercial stations seem fine.

i had the same with mine.pull the headlining down at the back and have a wiggle with the connection on the Ariel
